FurReal Friends Lulu My Cuddlin Kitty Cat Review

I purchased Lulu for my elderly mother. We needed to transition her to Assisted Living where she could not take her cat or dog. This gave me heart burn to think of her parting with her dear pets. The live pets are safe and living with me, but none-the-less, she had to be separated. My mother has Alzheimer’s and Lulu has fit the bill. Mom was a little anxious until LuLu arrived. Now when I visit my mother at the home, she tells me how LuLu is doing and sits on her bed. The only problem we have is the life of the batteries are short. I am on my way to replace the set with rechargeable. We leave LuLu on so my mother can interact with the cat and of course it drains the life. A plug in charge might help Lulu for her evening nap to maintain daily play. Tow thumbs up for this wonderful toy. Great for the elderly and certainly has helped us this week.

Everything about Lulu is amazingly realistic. Her soft white fur and adorable sounds make it hard not to pet her–especially when she rolls over for a tummy rub or cleans her face with her paw. Lulu has five convenient touch sensors located on her head, back and stomach. It seems that Lulu may also be able to detect motion or sound–when you walk by without touching her she will purr and meow “hello” at you. (To keep this from happening you can easily turn her off.)

Adorable and Hard Not to Love
Though Lulu is designed for children, we can see how she would appeal to all age groups including adults–who wouldn’t love having a fuzzy realistic toy kitty to cuddle with? My daughter loves elephants so I purchased the toy at Target two weeks ago when it was on sale for . My daughter is 7 so I was not sure how she would like the toy but it exceeded my expectations. This is a durable toy that is totally interactive. The baby elephant responds when you rub her back or underneath her chin. She gives kisses and her tail can curl under your finger. This is a really sweet toy but the best part is that 50% of the proceeds of the sales go to fund the Zambi Africa project. Hasbro has set up a fund to help the children orphaned by AIDS living in Zambia.

My daughter loves the elephant–I highly recommend this toy.
